On April 27, 2012, the Executive Director issued an Order under section 10(1)(b) of the Environmental Assessment Act to exempt the Richmond Island Milltown Marina and Boatyard Project, proposed by Musqueam Indian Band and Bastion Development Corporation, from the requirement to obtain an environmental assessment certificate. This exemption was issued because the Executive Director determined that the proposed project would not result in any significant adverse environmental, economic, social, heritage or health effects. The public is invited to obtain information about and comment on the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) Guidelines which will specify the information to be provided in the Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed project. Open houses will be held in Fort St. John, Hudson’s Hope, Chetwynd, Peace River, Alta., Dawson Creek anill specify the information to be provided in the Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Prince George.  A 45 day public comment period on the draft EIS Guidelines will start on April 17, 2012 and end on June 1, 2012. Amendment to the Reviewable Projects Regulation
