	<title>Raven Underground Coal Project - Public Comment Period on Compliance Coal Corporation's responses in the Public Comment Tracking Table</title>
	<description> From May 18, 2011 to June 27, 2011, the BC Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) accepted comments from the public on the draft Application Information Requirements (AIR) document.  The EAO required that Compliance Coal Corporation respond to the issues raised by the public in the form of a tracking table.  From November 15, 2011 to November 29, 2011, the EAO will be requesting comments from the public on Compliance Coal Corporation's responses  The EAO will accept comments by online form, fax and mail.  The EAO will consider the comments from the public during this time, and may require changes to the AIR document before it is issued to Compliance Coal Corporation.  </description>

      <title>Raven Underground Coal Project  - Synopsis of Public Comment Period Posted</title>
      <description>We have posted a summary of the comments received from the public on the draft Application Information Requirements/Environmental Impact Statement Guidelines (information requirements) document as well as responses from the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency and Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) to certain comments, including: consideration of greenhouse gas emissions overseas, rejection of the proposed Project, and referral to panel.  Compliance Coal Corporation (the Proponent) is currently preparing its responses to the public comments received during the public comment period, which ended June 27, 2011.  The EAO will seek the public’s views on the Proponent’s responses, anticipated in mid-fall 2011, prior to issuing  the information requirements.</description>

Due to the suspension in mail service, the EAO will accept written comments post-marked up until June 30, 2011.   Compliance Coal Corporation will be asked to respond to the issues raised by the public in the form of a public comment tracking table.  The EAO will post the draft public comment tracking table to the electronic Project Information Center (e-PIC) and will invite the public to provide comments on the responses prior to finalizing the table.  </description>
